What this site measures.

Short version: anonymous page counts, and which buttons get clicked. No cookies, no accounts, no tracking you across other websites.

What is collected

Anonymous traffic, and a handful of clicks.

  • Pages viewed, plus the country, browser and device type your browser reports.
  • The site that linked you here, if any, and any campaign tags in the link you followed.
  • Clicks on a small number of things I care about: booking a call, my email address, opening a service page, and following a link from an article to a service.
  • Page loading speed, so I can tell when the site gets slower.

This runs on Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights. Vercel does not use cookies for this and does not build a cross-site profile of you. Campaign tags and the referring site are kept in your browser for the length of your visit and are cleared when you close the tab.

What is not

Deliberately not collected.

  • No cookies are set by this site.
  • No fingerprinting, and no attempt to identify you personally.
  • No advertising networks, and no data sold or shared for advertising.
  • No session recording, heatmaps, or A/B testing.

When you get in touch

Email and booking.

If you email me or book a call, I keep what you send me: your name, your email address, and whatever you tell me about your situation, so I can reply and, if we work together, do the work. I keep a short private record of where enquiries came from so I know which writing is worth continuing. Emailing me does not put you on a mailing list, and I do not pass any of it on.

Calls are booked through Google Calendar, which has its own privacy policy and collects its own data once you land there.

If you sign up for it

The newsletter.

There are four letters, one for each service, and the only way to get one is to ask for it on the form yourself. Signing up stores your email address and which letters you chose. Nothing else, and nothing you have not typed into the form.

The letters do record whether you opened them and which links you clicked. I use it to work out which subjects were worth writing about, and nothing else. It is the one place on this site where something is measured against you rather than anonymously, so it is worth saying plainly. If you would rather it did not, tell me and I will turn it off for your address.

Every letter has a link at the bottom that lets you change which ones you get, or stop all of them. It takes one click, it works without me, and you do not need to give a reason.

The letters are sent through Resend, which stores the address on my behalf and has its own privacy policy. I do not pass it on to anyone else.

Your call

Asking me to delete it.

Email me and I will delete whatever I hold about you, and tell you when it is done. You do not need to give a reason. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, no analytics events are recorded for your visit.
